Photos: Pets on parade for Halloween in Sunnyvale

After last year’s virtual event, the Sunnyvale Halloween Pet Parade and Faire marched back into downtown Sunnyvale. Over a hundred pets and their pet parents, both in costumes walked down Murphy Avenue.

This is the third time the event has been held. Judging was held at Plaza del Sol with Zelda, a toy poodle, dressed as a flower, winning first place.

Alex the Great bunny rides in a mini car with his owner Key Kato, of San Francisco. Alex the Great, a therapy bunny, is best known from his appearances at San Francisco Giants games.

Connie Verceles, of Sunnyvale, accepts the third place prize for the pet costume contest with her dog Buddy, the Shiaspo, who is dressed as a UPS delivery man.

Larry Klein, the Mayor of Sunnyvale, pets dogs while dressed as Willy Wonka.

April, the long haired silver sable dachshund dressed as a hotdog, walks with her owner Justin Lee, of San Jose.

Sinan Alousi is dressed as a dwarf with his dog MiuMiu, a Shih Tzu dressed as Snow White.

Bailey Hall, of Sunnyvale holds Dosie, a part Pekingese and part King Charles Spaniel dressed as sushi.

Odie, a mutt mixed with Border Collie and Pit Bull, is dressed as a cow with his owner Alexa Gurusamy, of Santa Clara.
