Pittsburg police were investigating a fatal collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian Tuesday night at an intersection near Black Diamond High School.
Police were called to a report of a collision at Stoneman Avenue and Briarcliff Drive just before 9 p.m.
Officers closed the roadways and said they would remain closed “for an extensive amount of time” as they processed the scene and continued investigating. They asked drivers to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
No information was available on the victim or whether the driver was injured.
