The Taurus TX22 Compact .22 LR
Like the TX22 full size, the Compact features a textured polymer grip for solid retention while firing. The smaller frame size is perfect for smaller hands or concealed carry. Riding atop the frame is the high-grade aluminum slide with a hard anodized black coating.
The ported slide features front and rear cocking serrations for easy manipulation, even with wet hands. In addition, an optic cut allows you to install the optic of your choice with Shield RMSc and Holosun K footprint. Correspondingly, it features the same industry-standard sights found on the GX4 family of pistols.
Chambered in .22 LR, the alloy steel barrel features suppressor-ready threading with 1:10 twist rate. Rounds are sent downrange via the TX22 family trigger, with a clean break and no stacking. The TX22 Compact comes with two 13-round staggered column magazines, providing ample shots between reloads.
Editor’s Note
.22 LR is a great round for saving a few bucks at the firing range. However, it is also great for dispatching wild animals that become a nuisance around the property. But I would recommend something slightly larger if you live in wooded areas where larger critters may wander onto your grounds.
