‘E.O. 9066’ screening

The Saratoga Library is hosting a Feb. 25 screening of “E.O. 9066,” a documentary about how Executive Order 9066 affected Santa Clara County residents Curt Fukuda, Reiko Iwanaga and Beverly Harada and their families. The screening starts at 2 p.m. and will be followed by a panel discussion on Executive Order 9066, issued by President Franklin Roosevelt on Feb. 19, 1942, and authorizing “the evacuation of all persons deemed a threat to national security from the West Coast to relocation centers further inland.”

Registration is required to https://sccl.bibliocommons.com/events. Masks are strongly recommended, and seating in the community room of the library, 13650 Saratoga Ave., is first come, first served. The event is sponsored by Chi Am Circle, the Hakone Foundation and Saratoga Library.

Bollywood meets Hollywood

Tinny Juneja, artistic director of Bollywood Dance Connection, is hosting a “Bollywood Meets Hollywood” dance workshop Feb. 16, 5:30 p.m., at Montalvo Arts Center. Participants will learn a combination of Indian and American dance with a mix of 1920s Charleston style, disco, salsa and Bollywood. No experience is necessary. Dancers should wear comfortable clothing and shoes and bring a water bottle.

Foundation benefit concert

Classical pianist Katya Grineva is set to perform a benefit concert Feb. 17 for the Saratoga Foothill Club Historic Landmark Foundation. Following a champagne reception at 5 p.m., the concert of romantic music will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Saratoga Foothill Club, 20399 Park Place.

Tickets are $55 at Eventbrite.com. Proceeds support preservation efforts for the clubhouse, designed by Julia Morgan.
