A man accused of committing two armed robberies — at the same bank, on the same date in consecutive months — was arrested Thursday in Daly City.
Both robberies were at the same bank branch, located on the 100 block of McLellan Drive, and both were on the 28th of each month, the South San Francisco Police Department said in a release. During both incidents, the man displayed a semi-automatic pistol that was later determined to be a replica and demanded money from a bank employee before running from the scene.
Police investigators identified the suspect as a 48-year-old San Francisco man and arrested him Thursday in Daly City. He was booked into the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of two counts of robbery.
