New at the Bayhill Shopping Center in San Bruno is the family-owned Naan Point, specializing in … you guessed it.
Besides plain, garlic and onion naan, the restaurant bakes sesame, cheese, paneer aloo (potato/cheese) and keema (minced lamb ) varieties, along with a sweet coconut naan. Flatbreads include a flaky whole-wheat lachha paratha and amritsari kulcha, with spiced potatoes.
You can eat those with chicken, lamb or prawns from the tandoori grill; small plates of samosas and pakoras; and large, shareable plates from biryani and curries to saag and tikka masala, with vegetarian and vegan options. At lunchtime, there are thali plates and naan wraps. Hot chai is complimentary.
For Wednesday lunch service, the chef makes a Punjabi specialty, Chole Bhature, a spicy chickpea curry served with a fried flatbread.
