Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1991 Mazda Miata Special Edition.
This Mazda Miata is #3,083 of 4,000 Special Edition models produced. It’s finished in British Racing Green complemented by a folding black top with a plastic rear window that fits under a tan vinyl tonneau cover. Exterior features include pop-up headlights, chrome door handles, and body-color mirror caps.
It rides on a set of factory 14-inch wheels with Mazda-branded center caps and Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring tires.
“The cabin is furnished with a pair of Tan leather bucket seats, matching door panels and carpeting, a black and tan dashboard, and a black center console,” the listing states. “Equipment includes power windows, power steering and brakes, cruise control, air conditioning, an aftermarket head unit, a wood handbrake grip, dual cup holders, and a lockable glove box.”
Under the hood is a fuel-injected 1.6-liter inline-four engine that produced a factory-rated 116 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission with overdrive and a limited-slip differential that sends power to the rear wheels. Service records indicate the timing belt was replaced in 2018, and an oil change was performed in June 2022.
The sale includes a clear North Carolina title, body-color hardtop, the original tonneau cover, a car cover, a Haynes repair manual, and a CARFAX report. The six-digit analog odometer currently shows 74,725 miles, which is in line with the mileage shown on the CARFAX report. Per the seller, the vehicle is being driven so the total will rise before the close of auction. The CARFAX report contains a Damage Report entry dated October 2003.
This Mazda Miata’s auction ends on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. (MST)
