A 2.8 magnitude temblor struck just outside of Alamo at 8:31 p.m. Friday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake’s epicenter was about 1.3 miles southwest of the unincorporated Contra Costa County community, inside the Las Trampas Regional Wilderness Park. Minor earthquakes are fairly common in that area. The tremor could be felt in nearby Danville and San Ramon.
There were no reports of damage.
