Alzheimer’s walk

The Alzheimer’s Association is inviting Silicon Valley residents to participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Oct 16 at Excite Ballpark in San Jose. Those who don’t want to attend the in-person event can exercise the “Walk from Home” option via a mobile app.

The in-person Silicon Valley Walk will implement safety protocols including physical distancing, contactless registration and hand sanitizing stations. Attendees should be vaccinated or wear masks when in a crowded area. Masks will be available on site.

“More than ever, we need to come together to support all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia, and we’re just really excited to have the support from so many in our local community,” Silicon Valley Walk co-chairs Zachary Rayman and Cheryl James said in a statement.
