Restaurant chains are getting into the Halloween mood this year with booritos, BO(O)GOs and other deals and giveaways.
Halloween falls on a Monday, some companies are stretching the celebration across a long weekend.
Here’s a sampling of promotions to look for.
Quick service
Burger King: A Ghost Pepper Whopper is on the menu for a limited time. It features a beef patty, spicy queso, crispy jalapeños, bacon and ghost pepper cheese on an orange bun with black sesame seeds, according to a news release. Loyalty members can play a game on the BK app called “Home of the Ghosts” for the chance to win one. bk.com
Chipotle Mexican Grill: The Newport Beach-based chain is bringing back its Boorito promotion for the first time since 2019. Rewards members who visit in costume after 3 p.m. on Halloween can get an entrée for $6. There’s a limit of one offer per costume, according to a Facebook event listing. chipotle.com

Dunkin’: Seasonal specials include the Dunk-o-Lantern Donut, Spider Donut and a Peanut Butter Cup Macchiato, according to a news release. dunkindonuts.com
Krispy Kreme: This year’s Haunted House doughnut flavors include Spooky Spider, Boo Batter, Scaredy Cat and Neon Orange Sprinkle. They are available through Oct. 31 and served in a special box when purchased by the dozen. Customers who come to a Krispy Kreme shop or go through the drive-thru in costume on Halloween can get one free doughnut of choice, according to the chain’s website. krispykreme.com
McDonald’s: The Chicago-based fast food giant brought back its popular Halloween Pails this month after an absence of several years. It is serving Happy Meals in the plastic containers until Halloween or as long as supplies last. Media outlets throughout the country are predicting they won’t last very long. mcdonalds.com
Pieology: Customers who buy one custom pizza on Halloween can get half off a second, according to a news release. The offer is good for in-store purchases only. pieology.com
Rubio’s Coastal Grill: The chain’s Boorito promotion allows Rubio’s Rewards member to get any burrito on the menu for $7.99 on Oct. 31, according to a news release. They need to place their orders on Rubio’s app, or scan their phones at the register to get the discount.
Starbucks: The coffee chain is selling glow-in-the-dark reusable cups with eerie designs for $14.95-$24.95., according to a news release. starbucks.com
Wendy’s: The burger chain has five days of deals for its app users Oct. 27-31. They include BO(O)Gos on Dave’s Singles on Oct. 28 and spicy chicken sandwiches on Oct. 30. Wendy’s is also is doing its annual Boo Books campaign. They cost $1 include five coupons for Jr. Frostys at $1 each. wendys.com
