Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs suffered a right ankle sprain and is out indefinitely, an MRI confirmed Saturday.
Suggs’ return to play will “depend on how he responds to rehabilitation and treatment,” according to the Magic.
Suggs hurt his right ankle Friday midway through the third quarter of the team’s loss to the Atlanta Hawks. He limped to the locker room and didn’t return.
Suggs finished with three points and was 1-of-5 from the field in 16 minutes. He scored 21 points in Orlando’s opener earlier this week.
The No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, Suggs missed several games in his rookie season because of a fractured thumb.
