The Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District hired a new executive assistant for the superintendent’s office and board of trustees earlier this week.
Tricia Zarevich brings 10 years of experience to her new job, which she starts Oct. 30.
She previously served as the administrative assistant to the superintendent and board of education in both Carmel Unified School District and Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, where she created the first listserv for California school district administrative assistants to connect to resources and streamline communication. She also created a process to work with school site office staff to learn their needs and to understand how the district office can support their work.
Zarevich was awarded the Association of California School Administrators Region 10 Confidential Employee of the Year this spring.
“The district is incredibly fortunate to have found someone of Tricia’s experience, knowledge and caliber,” said Bill W. Sanderson, superintendent of Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District, in an email. “She sits on various professional committees and always focuses her work with a student-first lens. Tricia is a welcomed addition to our district leadership team and will be an incredible asset not only to the schools we serve but to this community, as well.”
The district started looking for a new executive assistant this summer.
