Police in Brentwood arrested a suspected burglar after he fled from authorities on Saturday.
The 22-year-old Brentwood resident allegedly entered a house on Trinity Drive but then exited shortly after the owner came home. Police say he fled the scene while dropping some of the property he had stolen. A few hours later, he was spotted by police at a nearby apartment complex, where he then jumped from a second-story balcony. Officers took him into custody after a foot chase.
The suspect was booked into county jail on burglary and obstructing officers charges. According to jail records, his bail has been set at $70,000.
