Bushnell Offers Micro Reflex Sights at a Budget Friendly Price

Although red dot sights are becoming all the rage, not everyone can afford to add one to their concealed carry. For this reason, Bushnell released two new micro reflex sights that are high in quality and easy on the pocketbook. As a result, you can outfit your carry pistol with an optic and have money left over to feed it.

Constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, both the RXU-200 and RXC-200 exceed MIL-STD-810 impact and vibration requirements. Likewise, each sight is IPX7-rated and moisture-sealed, allowing them to remain submerged in one meter of water for 30 minutes. For this reason, each is built to withstand harsh conditions and unrelenting recoil.

Utilizing the SHIELD RMS or RMSc footprint, the sights are designed for compact semi-auto handguns. As such, they fit nicely with pistols such as the Glock 43, S&W Shield, Springfield Armory Hellcat, and SIG P365. Although they can co-witness with SHIELD RMS compatible handguns, a rear dovetail sight is built in as a backup. For handguns without the SHIELD RMS footprint, third-party adapter plates and rail mounts are available.

Featuring a 6 MOA red dot, the RXU-200, and RXC-200 automatically adjust brightness and intensity based on lighting conditions. As a result, the sights consume less energy when holstered or stored. However, it is worth noting that they do not have an auto-off feature.

For the first time ever, Bushnell applied its EXO Barrier to the glass of these reflex sights. The fully multi-coated glass lens is durable against debris from a firing cycle and sheds rain and dust for a clear view. Similarly, True Tone coatings mitigate blue tint and maximize light transmission.

Operating on a single CR2032 battery, the sights boast a 50,000-hour battery life when exposed to typical indoor ambient conditions. Swapping the battery requires removing the sight and accessing the battery compartment underneath.

Available in two different sizes, Bushnell offers users the same great optic in a format that is right for them. The RXC-200 is a compact version with a larger window and features an overall height of 23.5mm. However, the RXU-200 is the ultra-compact version and has a much smaller, more concealable 19.5mm overall height.
