The 2022 Detroit Auto Show is winding down. Despite a relatively sparse conference schedule, the day was packed thanks to visits by President Biden, members of his administration and regional politicians who all set out to lay eyes on Detroit’s latest creations. We saw Jeep unveil some of its new electrified products, Chrysler’s send-off to the gasoline-powered 300, an updated Lincoln Corsair and several hopeful EV and mobility outfits looking to make a splash in the next generation of the auto industry — and we’re not done yet. The Autoblog staff was on hand throughout the day, interviewing industry experts and poking at these new machines whenever possible. Here are our observations from the floor and points beyond:
