A crash that killed at least one person closed eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Richmond for nearly three hours Wednesday morning.

The crash was reported at 2:49 a.m. as a pickup truck that had run into the center divide just east of Hilltop Drive. California Highway Patrol officers found at least one other disabled vehicle at the scene, and a witness said that a tractor-trailer that had collided with the pickup truck kept going.

One injured man was taken by helicopter for medical treatment, the CHP incident log said.

Traffic was diverted onto Hilltop until 6 a.m. as the crash was investigated and the scene cleared.
