Whether you’re a car enthusiast, movie buff, or diehard TV viewer, you’ll recognize the vehicles that made the list of top 10 sales at the Barrett-Jackson 2025 Scottsdale Auction yesterday.
Clearly, there’s still a lot of love for “The Beverly Hillbillies” because the 1921 Oldsmobile modified by George Barris into a hot rod for the character Jethro Bodine (played by Max Baer Jr.) hammered for $165,000. A Speed Racer Mach 5 re-creation based on a 1989 Chevrolet Corvette flew across the auction block for $110,000. A replica of the Barris-made Munster Koach from “The Munsters” didn’t frighten the person who placed the $100,100 winning bid for it.
All three of those vehicles were from The Dr. Stewart A. Berkowitz Collection, which included several more that paid tribute to “Jurassic Park,” “The Honeymooners,” and “Dumb and Dumber,” among many other television programs and films.
Of course, there were plenty of cars that weren’t related to TV shows and movies – particularly Chevrolets – that made up the top 10’s $979,000 in total sales. Check out the complete list below.
