OAKLAND — Two victims were transported to a hospital following a shooting in Oakland on Sunday morning, according to authorities.

At least three people were sitting in a car at 77th and Garfield avenues, in the Eastmont neighborhood, when someone allegedly shot at the vehicle in what authorities described as a random attack. The shooting took place at 4:47 a.m.

One of the people in the car, whose condition was unknown, drove the gunshot victims, an 18-year-old woman and 19-year-old man, to a hospital, authorities said.

According to the Oakland Police Officer’s Association, the victims were siblings and the person driving the car was their father. Both victims are in critical condition, according to the OPOA.

No arrests have been made, and no suspect information has been released by police.
