Santa Clara County deputies recovered $1,200 worth of meat stolen from a Safeway in Cupertino last week.
Two suspects stole ribeye steaks and other prime beef cuts from a Safeway on Homestead Road, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Department posted on the social media platform X. According to a photo shared by authorities, the suspects also stole two jars of mayonnaise and several bags of avocados.
Authorities said an employee provided descriptions of the suspects and the license plate of the getaway car.
Deputies found the home address associated with the car, and the suspects were arrested at the home and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail.
