A man was killed in a shooting in Antioch on Monday morning, according to a police department press release.
Antioch police officers responded to a call about a shooting near the 3900 block of Rockford Drive around 10:17 a.m. on Monday. Many calls reported a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers found a man on the ground and tried to save his life until paramedics arrived. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died. He was 26 years old. The victim’s identity has yet to be released following notification of next of kin.
This is an active investigation led by the police department’s Investigations Bureau. The identity of the suspect is not known.
