This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Sport Coupe featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, has a 468ci V8 under its hood and delivers power to the road through a Muncie M22 four-speed manual gearbox. It’s finished in Bright Red with white nose stripes and furnished with a black vinyl and black and white houndstooth cloth interior. This first-generation Camaro comes from the selling dealer in Missouri with a clear title.
The instantly recognizable body is covered in Bright Red paint, which is accented with white striping around the nose. Other exterior features include chrome bumpers and side mirror housings as well as simulated vents on the hood.
Just like the engine, the wheels and tires have been upgraded. This Camaro now rides on 18-inch American Racing Torq Thrust wheels, which are wrapped in 225/45 front and 275/40 rear Nitto radials.
The cabin features 2+2 black vinyl and black and white houndstooth cloth seating. It comes equipped with conveniences such as power steering, air conditioning, a short-throw Hurst manual shifter, and a center console. When it’s time to listen to music instead of the big V8 up front, there’s a Bluetooth-compatible Alpine AM/FM/USB stereo with Alpine speakers and a rear subwoofer.
A 120-mph speedometer and 7,000-rpm tachometer in the instrument cluster and console-mounted readouts for the oil pressure, temperature, battery, and fuel level display important information about the car’s various systems. The odometer shows 45,133 miles, but the true mileage on this F-body is unknown.
The original engine has been replaced with a 468ci V8. That’s been enhanced with Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, an Edelbrock air cleaner, headers, a March Performance serpentine belt kit, and an aluminum radiator. A Muncie M22 four-speed manual gearbox helps send the engine’s power to the rear end.
There are even more upgrades underneath this Camaro. The suspension has Calvert Racing CalTracs traction bars and the brake hardware consists of four-wheel power discs.
If you want to add this 468-powered 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Sport Coupe to your garage, start bidding. The auction for it ends on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. (MST).
