CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Kansas City ChiefsNoah Gray is often overlooked because he’s teammates with a more famous tight end, Travis Kelce. But he’s becoming a valuable player for the Chiefs.

Gray showed it with two touchdowns in the first half on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Gray first caught a 35-yard touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes to put the Chiefs ahead 7-0.

Gray scored the Chiefs’ second touchdown on an 11-yard pass from Mahomes with 44 seconds left in the first half to give the Chiefs a 20-6 lead.

Like his earlier touchdown, Gray’s scoring catch came on a third and 4 play. Gray had two touchdown catches in last week’s game against the Buffalo Bills.

Gray is the first tight end with multiple receiving touchdowns in consecutive games since George Kittle of the 49ers in 2022. Gray is also the third player this season with multiple receiving touchdowns in consecutive games, joining Ja’Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals and Demarcus Robinson of the Los Angeles Rams.
