The Chevy Nova sits in an interesting place in the collector car world. Novas are not as desirable as Chevelles nor as valuable as the Olds Cutlass or Buick Skylark, but they do so much of what those cars do. They are just as fun to drive and easy to maintain, but they can be had for considerably less money. They are what my Nova-loving friend calls “bread and butter” American collector cars.

Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1967 Chevrolet Nova.

The seller describes this 1967 Chevrolet Nova as a completely restored two-door hardtop that is powered by a 327ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in blue with a black vinyl top over a black vinyl interior.

During this car’s restoration, it had a few welcome upgrades done, including a rebuilt engine with new parts such as a high-lift cam, Weiand aluminum intake manifold, Demon four-barrel carb, gear-driven timing system, aluminum radiator, and aluminum and chrome dress-up items. The car rides on 17-inch chrome wheels with 215/45 Lexani radial tires and stops thanks to four-wheel power disc brakes.

The exterior of the car looks to be in excellent condition and has had a color change from Ermine White to the Blue you see here. In addition, this Nova has excellent chrome, black stripes, and a black vinyl roof.

The interior of this Nova looks immaculate and features factory bucket seats that have been changed from the factory blue to the black you see here, all done in period-correct materials. The interior also features a center console-mounted manual shifter, a RetroSound stereo, and AutoMeter auxiliary gauges for the oil pressure, water temperature, and amperage.

Under the hood is the built Chevy 327 V8 mentioned above. It really looks to be in excellent condition as does the underside of the car, which has perfect floors with no rust or any other issues visible.

Collector cars like this 1967 Nova are ones that I would drive anywhere, be it to shows, cruises, or even on longer journeys such as the Hot Rod Power Tour. I guarantee that a car like this Nova would be a standout at higher-end events such as the Copperstate 1000 as it would be the only car like it in attendance and would likely be more reliable and less hassle than any European car you can name – and in this configuration, capable of keeping up with more exotic machinery.

The auction for this 1967 Chevrolet Nova ends on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 11:15 a.m. (MST).
