It’s hard to believe the “new” Bronco is heading into its fifth model year. Judging by the information Ford released on the 2025 model, which comes standard with improved tech and interior upgrades and can be equipped with some new cosmetic packages, it seems the off-roader has climbed to new heights.
The trim levels have been shuffled around and altered. The Base model returns to the lineup, but the Black Diamond trim has been turned into a package available on the Bronco Big Bend. No matter which model you choose, it’ll come standard with a 50-percent-larger 12-inch digital gauge cluster, more interior lighting, and additional sound insulation. Four-door Broncos get HVAC vents for second-row passengers, which should make for more pleasant trail days with friends. The available B&O audio system gets an update of its own: The new setup has 12 instead of 10 speakers, upgraded speakers, a new subwoofer, and a higher-output amplifier. The Blue Oval also tweaked the rubber on the Sasquatch package, replacing the previous mud terrain tires with 35-inch Goodyear Territory tires that are quieter on the highway.
There are new ways to set the Bronco apart from the dozens you’re bound to see at your local wheeling spot. There’s the Stroppe Special Edition and the Free Wheeling appearance package, both of which have a retro flair. The Black Appearance package gives the 2025 Bronco a more sleek and low-key look by adding a black grille with white BRONCO lettering; black fender flares, mirror caps, door handles, and graphics; and a Shadow Black removable hardtop. Opting for the Black Appearance package on a Bronco Sasquatch gets you all of that as well as glossy black aluminum wheels with black beadlock rings.
Another way of making a two- or four-door 2025 Bronco (except the Raptor) more distinctive (and its painter safer from the elements) is ordering it with the new Matte Clear Film.
We had to wait more than 20 years for the sixth-generation Bronco, but we’re not that far away from the 2025 model coming out. Ford’s order banks are currently open and deliveries will start rolling out this winter.
