It’s Election Day across the United States. Voters will choose America’s next president, with Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris — an Oakland native and former California attorney general and U.S. senator — and Republican former President Donald Trump each needing at least 270 electoral votes to win. We’ll be updating the race throughout the evening as returns come in, along with following contests that will decide control of the U.S. Senate, the House of Representatives, key California ballot measures and Bay Area races. Check back regularly for updates.
