Featured on AutoHunter is this unique 1964 Ford Econoline Travel Wagon. This Falcon-based conversion van was originally modified by Travel Equipment Corporation. Power comes from a 170ci inline-six backed by a three-speed automatic. Other features aside from the aluminum pop-up top include a gas stove top, refrigerator, sink, table, decorative curtains, and more. Painted two-tone Caribbean Turquoise and Wimbledon White over a matching interior, this camping van comes from the selling dealer with an owner’s manual and a clear title.

Not only do the original exterior colors of Caribbean Turquoise and Wimbledon White look great, but they also reflect a certain time in America when life was simpler and optimistic. Atop the turquoise roof is a gray aluminum pop-up top that features windows and curtains. Other features include dual chrome mirrors, chrome bumpers, and aftermarket headlight visors for a cutesy look.

A set of 13-inch wheels with Ford hubcaps are wrapped in 175/80 Tempra Duration whitewall tires.

The interior features two-tone teal bucket seats up front and white booth seats surrounding a table in the passenger compartment. Of course, this being a Travel Wagon conversion van, there’s plenty more to see, including a sink, refrigerator, gas stove, curtains, and more. Lest you think the drive to the campground will be boring, an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette radio will allow you to practice your Kum Ba Yahs.

Instrumentation includes a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the temperature and fuel level; warning lights send alerts for the oil pressure and generator. The odometer shows 84,759 miles, though the true mileage is unknown.

The 170ci six was originally rated at 101 horsepower, but, obviously, it had enough torque to handle this rolling campsite. A three-speed C4 automatic handles the shifting duties.

The suspension geometry will seem familiar to folks who have had a Falcon in their lives. Four-wheel drums bring this Travel Wagon to a stop. A single exhaust routes emissions to the rear.
