You can feel the energy in the air, generated and shared by everyone who’s at WestWorld for the Barrett-Jackson 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction. And that energy gets jacked up on Fridays as the heavy artillery is rolled out on stage, resulting in oohs and aahs as the gavel hits.

It may seem like just another day at a Barrett-Jackson auction but, considering the antics of philanthropists Michelle Mauzy and Joe Riley, we can tell you it was anything but typical. Thanks to longtime Barrett-Jackson friends Mike and Tracy Patterson, they donated a 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for charity, directly benefiting Samaritan’s Purse to aid hurricane relief efforts in Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Maury was the initial winner thanks to a bid of $350,000, then generously donated the pony car back to be auctioned a second time, with Riley stepping up to the plate with a winning bid of $250,000. And, wouldn’t you know it, the Pattersons chipped in an additional $100,000—thanks and kudos to all involved!

The Dark Horse was but one of 200 cars that crossed the block on Friday. The full list of top 10 sales from the second day of the Barrett-Jackson 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction is below.

Two of the above vehicles were from the David M. Ressler Collection and GM Pace Car Collection, both of which give a hint to how the auction has been leaning towards the American side of the automotive world. That’s not to say there hasn’t been sweet cars from across the pond, such as William Shatner’s Jaguar.

Once again, the Barrett-Jackson 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction continues today and runs through Sunday, October 13 at WestWorld of Scottsdale. If the excitement and fun is something that is a challenge due to distance, fear not as you can watch the livestream at TV.Barrett-Jackson.com.
