In the early days of the Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Race, David Dudek and his son Dave would show up and uphold the reputation of the Chrysler Corporation with their car. It’s been so long so I don’t recall what car or engine but, several years later Dave started developing a name for himself with his trusty Hemi.
As some of the racers began to exploit the rules, FAST racing developed into its own thing, and Dave was at the forefront of what a Hemi could do with stock parts (spoiler alert: faster than many modified Hemis). Today, Dave has earned the expertise and gravitas to handle the Mopar needs of other enthusiasts.
Join Muscle Car Campy as he pays a visit to Dave Dudek Musclecars in metro Detroit. This isn’t your usual Mopar video—it’s a shop tour of some prime and unexpected Mopars that any enthusiast would love to grace his/her garage, from Drag Week builds to stock Mopar muscle to Redeye Hemi transplants. If you’re a numbers guy, be sure to check out the extremely rare 1971 Barracuda with a 383 and Shaker!
