Live On Main
Main Street Cupertino is extending the summer season with a free concert series on Fridays at 6:30 p.m. through Sept. 27 in the shopping center’s town square. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and get dinner to go from a restaurant in Main Street Cupertino.
The lineup for Live On Main includes Country Cougars on Aug. 30 playing pop and country music to line dance to; Noah and the Arkiteks on Sept. 6 playing big band soul and R&B; and Dolce Grande featuring Ren Geisick on Sept. 13 playing Motown and old school soul.
Cocktail Monkeys promise “party music from every era” on Sept. 20, and Flock of Seagirls closes out the series on Sept. 27 with a “Ladies of the ’80s” tribute.

Older adult events
Theater, cheese tasting and hiking are on the September calendar for Bay Area Older Adults.
A Dinner and Shakespeare Night Out on Thursday, Sept. 5, starts with seafood or chicken and ends with “Hamlet” at the Contra Costa Civic Theater. Registration is $140-$160 and includes transportation, dinner, gratuities, theater tickets and two tour leaders.
A day trip on Wednesday, Sept. 18, starts with cheese tasting at a local dairy farm, then a stop for lunch by the beach followed by a 2-mile walk at Pt. Reyes National Seashore to see and learn about Tule elk.
A leisurely 2.5-mile walk is planned for Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Deer Hollow Farm. Participants can learn about the Permanente Creek flood protection plan as they stroll. After lunch, visit the 160-year old farm, gardens, farm animals and blacksmith shed.
