Expressway upgrades

Repairs on Lawrence Expressway between Quito and Homestead roads are set to begin this fall, according to a release from Santa Clara County Supervisor Joe Simitian.

The work will include improvements like new pavement striping and signage, sidewalk repairs and new pedestrian signals and sensors at certain intersections. The work is slated to begin in late August or early September, and will conclude in February 2025.

“These repairs and improvements will positively impact residents in several communities in the county,” including Saratoga, Simitian said in the release. “Lawrence Expressway is a key connector for these communities, including to each other as well as to local hospitals, retail centers, schools and parks.”
