A Giant donation
The Stanford Blood Center is rewarding donors who step up to the plate on Saturdays in August with a pair of view reserve level tickets to select San Francisco Giants games. Those who make an appointment at Campbell’s South Bay Donor Center can also score a free, official MLB co-branded T-shirt.
Donors should be in good health with no cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, and should bring a photo ID. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, or 16 with a parent or guardian’s consent.

Student leader
Anjani Nabar of Campbell is one of five Silicon Valley high school students recently selected as Bank of America Student Leaders. The students will participate in an eight-week paid summer internship with a local nonprofit and attend the national Student Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C. to learn how nonprofits, government and businesses collaborate to meet local needs.
Nabar is a rising senior at Archbishop Mitty High School. A first-generation American, she is involved with her school’s South Asian Student Association and Female Empowerment Movement. Her Girl Scouts service project provided access to menstrual period products for local middle school students.
Since the Student Leaders program began in Silicon Valley in 2006, 98 local students have been selected for the program. Every year, the Student Leaders program recognizes 300 community-focused juniors and seniors from across the U.S.
