Hello, everyone. Diego usually shares his favorite vehicles on AutoHunter with you, but this week I’m filling in for him.
If you’re reading this right now, you’ve probably daydreamed about having a garage full of vehicles for different purposes and occasions. Maybe you’d have a luxury sedan for date nights, a pickup for home improvement projects, and a sporty coupe for commuting. That’s the idea behind my well-rounded trio of AutoHunter selections today. The first one is a sports car, the second is a convertible, and the third is a four-wheel-drive SUV.
Nothing says “Ferrari” like red paint and nothing says “1980s Ferrari” like side strakes. This 348TB has both of those characteristics plus some significant bonus items: a set of lightweight 18-inch magnesium wheels and a Tubi Style exhaust system.
As its name implies, this prancing horse has a 3.4-liter V8 behind the seats, which is connected to a gated five-speed manual gearbox – another very Ferrari touch. What do the 33,100 miles on the odometer say? “Someone needs to buy this car and drive it fast.”
400-Powered 1969 Pontiac Firebird Convertible
Zooming around in an exotic sports car is fun, but sometimes it’s nice to do some top-down driving. And if you can do that in an American classic like this 1969 Pontiac Firebird, even better. In addition to its attractive combination of newer Carousel Red with a white soft top over a Parchment vinyl interior, it has some important mechanical upgrades.
The original 350ci V8 has been replaced with a 400, which comes equipped with Holley Sniper fuel injection and nitrous oxide. Can’t picture yourself driving this Firebird yet? The video below should help.
There’s nothing like getting away from traffic and chain restaurants and going off-road in a rugged SUV. You can escape from the suburban grind even faster thanks to this rig’s carbureted Chevrolet 350ci V8. To make sure you don’t get stuck along the way, there’s a winch, rock sliders, and a high-lift jack.
Thanks for checking out my AutoHunter picks. Diego will be back next week with his latest selections.
