Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 59,040-mile 1996 Chevrolet Corvette 6-speed coupe. This Corvette is unusual in what it lacks, rather than what it has. Power comes from a 5.7-liter LT4, a 330-horsepower small-block that was only available with a six-speed manual transmission. Features include period-correct Kenwood stereo with CD and cassette players, Bilstein shocks, both color-matched and tinted roof panels, cruise control, power windows, and several manual-control components. Painted Medium Green Pearl metallic over a Black leather interior, this Vette comes with a clean CARFAX report and clear title.

The Medium Green Pearl metallic is one of 2,414 built in this hue. Drive without the roof panels or install one of two that are included: one body-colored and another that’s tinted. Other exterior features include color-keyed side mirrors, black Corvette badges front and rear, and twin exhaust tips.

A set of 17-inch aluminum wheels are paired with staggered-width Nitto Extreme ZR tires: P255/45 VR17 up front, P285/40 VR17 out back.

The black leather interior features two bucket seats with manual controls. Other features include tilt wheel with adjustable steering column, power windows, cruise control, manual climate control system, and aftermarket Kenwood stereo with CD and cassette players.

The instrument panel includes a digital speedometer, 8,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel. The odometer currently shows 59,040, which is in line with the CARFAX report.

This Corvette is powered by the LT4 version of the Chevrolet 350 small-block, which was only available with cars equipped with the six-speed manual transmission. Horsepower was 330 with 340 ft-lbs of torque. Sequential fuel injection and aluminum heads were part of the package.

The undercarriage features a fully independent suspension with five-link rear and Bilstein performance shocks. Other features include disc brakes with ABS, traction control and, of course, dual exhaust system.
