Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1971 Chevrolet C10 pickup.

There’s a lot more spiciness to this truck than just its “cinnamon metallic” paint. It has been upgraded from front to back, inside and out, with modern additions like a QA1 suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, and a vintage-looking audio system. The custom pickup is being listed by a dealer in El Cajon, California, and the auction will end on Monday.

When the C10 was launched for model year 1971, General Motors called it a “totally tougher” truck, and said that it was “built to lead a hard life so yours can be easier.” At that point in time, statistics from R.L. Polk & Co said that 56% of the Chevrolet trucks from model year 1955 were still on the road 16 years later. It would be interesting to see how that metric compares to longevity of modern-day trucks. Are new vehicles as long-lasting?

Chevrolet also touted the C10 for its standard equipment: Among its features were finned rear drum brakes, front drum brakes, an independent front suspension, a cross-flow radiator, “Power-Beam” high-output headlights, a large battery, and dual-wall steel construction on select body panels. And that sturdy steel construction is perhaps why this featured truck still looks so straight after over 50 years. Adding to the clean motif are a shaved fuel door, a color-keyed rollpan, stainless-steel bed caps, and LED taillights.

The nice thing about a classic truck is that it can double as both a workhorse and a show vehicle at the same time. Luckily, this one has plenty of capability in the cargo-hauling department: Power comes from a 350cid small-block V8 that is upgraded with an Edelbrock carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, an HEI distributor, an aluminum radiator, and dual cooling fans. A four-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels.

The listing says that the truck will come with its original broadcast sheet, a window sticker, an owner’s manual, a car cover, and a toolkit. All-in-all, it sounds like a pretty solid package deal. If you are ready to spice up your garage this summer, look no further than this cinnamon-colored C10.
