SAN JOSE — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Thursday afternoon in San Jose, police said.
The two-vehicle collision was reported just after 4 p.m. in the area of Winfield Boulevard and Furlong Drive, the San Jose Police Department said in a social media post.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death marked the 24th traffic fatality of the year on city streets. At this time last year, San Jose had recorded 26 roadway deaths.
Traffic was impacted on Winfield Boulevard between Blossom Hill and Coleman roads. The roadway reopened around 9 p.m., police said.
