ClassicCars TV checks out a 1963 Chevrolet Nova SS convertible. Crafted by builder Mark Grimes, it features a GM Performance Parts 454ci V8 crate engine and a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Finished in a Corvette shade of yellow and equipped with a Haartz Stayfast power cloth top over a black leather interior, it rides on a custom chassis with a Heidts independent front suspension and a Currie 9-inch narrowed rear end.

The engine bay shines with chrome accents and an aluminum radiator, while the interior showcases Dolphin digital gauges and a Shelby Cobra-style single-hoop roll bar. This award-winning Nova SS earned the Goodguys Best Bitchin’ prize and sold for $41,800 at the Barrett-Jackson 2024 Scottsdale Auction.
