Free agent forward Royce O’Neale intends to sign a four-year, $44 million deal to return to the Phoenix Suns, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday.

Phoenix also plans on bringing back forward/center Bol Bol on a one-year deal, sources said.

O’Neale, 31, closed the season with the Suns after Phoenix acquired him from the Brooklyn Nets in a deal the week of the trade deadline.

The 6-foot-4 wing gave Phoenix an instant boost, providing the Suns with much-needed perimeter defense and more shooting around Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

O’Neale, a veteran of seven NBA seasons, shoots 38.1% from 3 for his career and has appeared in nearly 50 postseason games.

He is coming off a four-year $36 million deal he signed with the Jazz in 2020.

Bol, 24, played sparingly for the Suns to start last season before breaking into the rotation in early February; he appeared in all but two of the last 33 games of Phoenix’s regular season.

A 7-foot-3 forward capable of putting the ball on the floor and making highlight plays, Bol has been a crowd favorite during his five-year NBA career.

He had a breakout year in 2022-23 with the Magic, averaging a career-high 21.5 minutes per game. While he did not see the same amount of playing time in Phoenix, he set career marks in shooting from the field (61.6%) and from 3-point range (42.3%).

Bol is coming off a one-year, $2 million deal.
