After a week of thrill rides, racing ducks, entertainers and home-spun exhibits, the San Mateo County Fair will cap off its 90th anniversary run Sunday with Dia de la Feria, a music- and dance-filled heritage celebration. The opening ceremony at 11:30 a.m. in the Expo Hall will feature a Farmworker Heroes Appreciation Event, and folklorico troupes will perform during the day on the Community Stage. Three bands will perform on the Main Stage: La Gran Sonora at 3:15 p.m., Banda Los Lagos at 4:35 and Banda Arkangel R-15 at 5:55 p.m. Although the fair gates close at 10 p.m., the carnival rides and game booths will stay open an extra hour, until 11.
