The puck drops on the 2024 Stanley Cup Final on Saturday night, when the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers face off in Sunrise, Florida.
Connor McDavid of the Oilers is the current Conn Smythe Trophy (playoff MVP) favorite, and he leads a powerful offense featuring Leon Draisaitl, Evan Bouchard, Zach Hyman, among others. The Oilers dispatched the Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks and Dallas Stars on the road to their first Final appearance since 2006.
The Panthers, last season’s Eastern Conference champions, return to the Final this season to finish the job, after losing to the Vegas Golden Knights in last years Final. Matthew Tkachuk, Aleksander Barkov, Sergei Bobrovsky & Co. knocked off the Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins and New York Rangers on their road through the Eastern Conference.
