Two major fires burning in the East Bay area, the Patterson and Corral fires, are both 92% contained, according to an update late Tuesday from Cal Fire.

The Patterson Fire started burning Monday around the intersection of Patterson Pass and Midway Road, west of Interstate 580 and south of Mountain House. The blaze only burned through 95 acres in Alameda County and there have been no reports of injuries or structures destroyed.

The Corral Fire began burning Saturday near Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s Site 300, with flames spreading along the 580 Freeway southwest of Tracy. As of Tuesday night, the fire had burned through 14,168 acres. Cal Fire officials confirmed that one structure was destroyed in the fire, and there have been two fire personnel and civilian injuries.

Although the fires are nearly fully contained, rising temperatures this week could further fuel fire activity.
