A 32-year-old Millbrae man has been arrested after he allegedly struck a pedestrian there early Sunday morning then fled the scene, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers responded to calls around 5:50 a.m. on Sunday morning of a crash near Millbrae Avenue and El Camino Real. The driver was no longer there, but was located by sheriff’s deputies a few blocks away at his home, said Sgt. Phillip Hallworth. He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility for a felony hit-and-run.
The pedestrian, a woman in her late 40s, was transported to the San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officials have not yet released her identity.
