SAN JOSE — A man suspected of firing a gun Sunday in San Jose has been transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after being wounded in an officer-involved shooting, officials announced Sunday evening.
The 2700 block of Kollmar Drive, where the shooting took place, will remain an active crime scene for several hours, officials said on social media. The public is asked to avoid the area.
Officers were called to the scene a little after 4 p.m. Sunday due to reports of an adult male firing a firearm. The firearm was recovered at the scene. No officers were struck by gunfire.
