Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand, who is day-to-day after he was hit in the head in Game 3 of the team’s playoff series against the Florida Panthers, skated Monday morning and will travel with the team to Florida.

Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said Marchand, who missed the third period of Game 3 and all of Game 4 after getting punched by Panthers center Sam Bennett, is feeling better.

Coach Jim Montgomery on Sunday wouldn’t disclose whether Marchand had suffered a concussion.

The Bruins trail 3-1 entering Game 5 of the Eastern Conference second-round series on Tuesday night. Marchand has two points in the series, both coming on assists, and is the team’s leading scorer in the playoffs with 10 points in 10 games.

Bennett wasn’t called for a penalty and later was cleared by the NHL’s Department of Player Safety.
