OAKLAND — Firefighters battled a three-alarm fire Friday night in West Oakland.
The blaze was reported around 8 p.m. at 27th and West streets, in the city’s Hoover-Foster neighborhood, the Oakland Fire Department said in a social media post.
Roughly 30 minutes later, the fire was placed under control, according to the agency. No injuries were reported.
The fire department said two structures were involved — a vacant single-family home and a place of worship.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
