BEREA, Ohio — The Cleveland Browns are harking back to their glory days with a slight uniform change.

The Browns announced Wednesday they are bringing back the white face masks the franchise wore during the 1980s heydays. Cleveland wore brown face masks last season.

Kosar led the Browns to three AFC championship games in the 1980s, where they came up short of reaching the franchise’s first Super Bowl all three times.

The Browns initially donned white face masks when they returned to the NFL in 1999. But eventually, the team went to gray, then brown face masks.

Previously, the Browns featured the white face masks in Week 15 of 2022 against the Baltimore Ravens, and in Week 11 of 2023 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
