Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 2023 Ford Bronco Big Bend.
When the sixth-generation Ford Bronco debuted for the 2021 model year, it had big shoes to fill. After all, the Bronco nameplate had been gone from the automotive marketplace for 25 years. The latest Bronco comes in both two-door and four-door variants, and it is available with a removable hardtop as well as a retractable soft top. Versatility is the name of the game, after all. If you have been eyeballing the new Bronco for the last couple of years, here is your chance to get one that is basically fresh off the showroom floor. It is being offered by a dealer in Cicero, Indiana, and the auction ends on Monday.
The Carbonized Gray Metallic paint finish is a subtle but attractive color. This Bronco is a four-door variant with the retractable soft top. Its front fenders wear “Big Bend” emblems, paying homage to Big Bend National Park in West Texas. The park was named for a bend in the Rio Grande River and is home to more than 450 species of birds as well as a number of scenic drives. This Bronco is begging to go there.
Power comes from an EcoBoost 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four that was rated at 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque when new. Torque is channeled to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission.
One of the key credentials of the 2021-and-newer Bronco is its “GOAT” terrain-management system which offers unique drive modes. The acronym specifically stands for “Goes Over Any Terrain,” and includes Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Sand. And in spite of its go-anywhere capability, you can still find creature comforts inside the cabin like SYNC4 touchscreen infotainment, 4G Wi-Fi, and power options throughout. Off-roading isn’t as rugged as it used to be!
Speaking of off-roading: One of the perks of Bronco ownership is getting to take part in an enthusiast-focused event called the Bronco Off-Roadeo. Dubbed “The Greatest Adventure on Dirt,” the Off-Roadeo delivers Bronco owners educational insight about outdoor travel, obstacle course navigation, recovery techniques, driving tips, and journey essentials. Of course, the biggest draw is the sense of community – being able to connect with fellow owners. Programs are offered in Utah, Texas, New Hampshire, and Nevada.
Make your move and start planning your visit to the Off-Roadeo, or to Big Bend National Park. This Bronco will satisfy your craving for adventure.
