MOUNTAIN VIEW — A crash reportedly due to a wrong-way driver was blocking the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 on Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. when a white passenger van, allegedly traveling north in the southbound lanes, collided with a sedan near the Rengstorff Avenue exit.
All southbound lanes were blocked following the collision, but were reopened by 9 a.m.
It is currently unclear if anyone was injured in the collision.
Authorities did not immediately offer an explanation for why the driver had entered the wrong direction of traffic.
