It’s another wet weekend in the Bay Area. Scattered storms are expected to continue throughout Saturday across the region and clear up by Sunday morning.

From Friday to Saturday afternoon, the Bay Area saw some downpours that resulted in  be less than an inch of rain. San Jose received 0.83 inch, Oakland 0.61 and San Francisco, 0.51 inches, according to the National Weather Service.

Similar levels are expected for Saturday afternoon, evening and overnight, with the hills and higher elevation areas seeing somewhat more precipitation.

“Through the day there are some chances for some thunderstorms.,” said Sarah McCorkle, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

“Some storms have been producing some heavy downpours,” she added. Drivers should be cautious, as visibility may be reduced.

Sunday is expected to be a breezy day, with somewhat warmer temperatures and winds coming from the north.
