Community hero
Amrita Vu, the lead therapist at Los Gatos High School, recently received Santa Clara County’s 2024 Behavioral Health Community Heroes Award.
The award recognizes members of the community who have made an “extraordinary difference” for people with behavioral health challenges. Vu helped build Los Gatos High’s mental health support services and wellness center.
Vu will be recognized at the annual Behavioral Health Community Heroes Award ceremony on May 1, according to a press release from the Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District.
A local acquisition
The Los Gatos-based smart home outfitter cyberManor was acquired by Daisy, a new smart home services company, in late February.
Daisy, which launched earlier in this year, aims to make smart home technology more accessible to members of the public, according to CE Pro, a trade publication that covers the custom electronics business.
“I’m personally excited for the incredible synergy between our teams and the opportunity to deepen our expertise and enhance our reputation by partnering with cyberManor founder Gordon van Zuiden,” Daisy CEO and founder Hagan Kappler told CE Pro.
CyberManor will begin operating under the Daisy company name later this year. CyberManor was recognized by the Consumer Technology Association with a Mark of Excellence award in 2022 for its accomplishments in custom integration.
