Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey has cleared the NBA’s concussion protocol and will return against the Knicks in New York on Tuesday, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Monday.
Maxey has missed four straight games while in the protocol.
Maxey suffered the concussion in last Sunday’s win over the Dallas Mavericks when he hit his head against the knee of Derrick Jones Jr. He was forced to leave the court but did eventually return.
Two days later, coach Nick Nurse announced that Maxey had a “delayed and mild” concussion.
The Sixers went 1-3 in his absence.
